City v Country Golf Day hosted by Oatlands Golf Club
Forget the Ryder Cup this was a cliff hanger! City 262½ Country 263¾ – a resounding victory to the City Slickers!
At Oatlands Golf Club we were royally looked after by Justin Burbury (‘85), President Tom Burbury (’92) and Secretary/Treasurer Tim McShane (’93), not to forget our BBQ man Joe Burbury (Year 10, 2012). What a great place to play golf and to enjoy catching up again.
Best net scores, 61½, from Marcus Gray and Martin Headlam as well as Tim McShane (’93) and Mark Chopping (’93). Next best was Gene Phair (’87) and Neil Bigg (current parent) on 63 1/4. Nearest the pins were won by Nick Weeding (’03), Justin Burbury (’85) and Robb Macmillan (’09).
A great day was had by all involved and this event is sure to grow into something very special – put it in your diary for November 2013!
