The Hutchins School Anniversary Week 2022
On Wednesday 3 August The Hutchins School Anniversary Day started with a service at St David’s Cathedral for Year 8, Year 11 and Year 12 students, staff and their very proud families. Anniversary Ties were presented by Board Member, Mr Gene Phair and Headmaster, Dr Rob McEwan to an outstanding group of Year 12 students.
These Students humbly continue to embody the School’s values of kindness, humility, courage and respect, all without the previous recognition of leadership roles or badges in 2022.
We want to acknowledge these students’ exemplary behaviour, their integrity as role models in our community and their ability to represent the Hutchins values.
We witnessed wonderful performances by the Senior Vocal Ensemble, the Brass Ensemble along with an inspirational message from The Rt Rev’d Dr Richard Condie, Bishop of Tasmania.
To continue the celebration, our Middle and Senior students came together in the Quad to enjoy a BBQ lunch followed by a rousing rendition of ‘Happy Birthday’ and cutting of the amazing and delicious birthday cake!
While enjoying a slice of chocolate cake, students and staff cheered on the touch football match between the students and Old Boys with the Old Boys taking the win 5–1.
It has been a fantastic day of festivity at The Hutchins School!
Happy Birthday Hutchins!
