Hutchins community members urged to support the CEO sleepout
As we approach another cold winter in Tasmania, we should spare a thought for those who are sleeping rough. The aim of the CEO Sleepout is to help The St. Vincent De Paul Society raise funds to assist the less fortunate.
It is estimated that more than 50,000 Australians sleep on the street every night. Unfortunately the support services for the homeless are not keeping pace.
This year I have decided to participate in this important initiative. The purpose of my involvement is to:
- Raise funds to assist St. Vincent De Paul Society in tackling homelessness; and
- To raise awareness of the plight that many in our community are facing.
