Hutchins boys excel at Australian Mathematics Trust Awards
Last night The Hutchins School students excelled at the Australian Mathematics Trust awards. Students receiving High Achiever Awards were Ollie Moore (Year 5), Will Rumley (Year 6), Tom Giddings (Year 6), Struen Vanderplas (Year 11), Sudhaunshu Hardikar (Year 11), and Alex Hall (Year 12). Best in the State were Seth Homfray (Year 8), Angus Christie (Year 9), Xuehong Zhu (Year 10) and Koh Kawaguchi (Year 12).
The Director of Teaching and Learning, Mrs Louise Bender accepted the AMT Champion School award for The Hutchins School. This award recognises the Independent school community that has best demonstrated passion towards the learning and enjoyment of mathematics and motivating its students learning through involvement in the AMT competitions.
