HSOBA Young Alumni Award
We are pleased to announce this year’s winner of the HSOBA Young Alumni award Billy Blackett (’19).
Awarded the Foundation Community Scholarship to attend Hutchins for Years 11 and 12, Billy graduated as Dux of the School and continued into his working life to show commitment to service to the community in disability mentoring, college tutoring and youth programs.
In 2020, Billy started his own tutoring business, Affordable Tutoring Tasmania (ATT) to provide students from Kindergarten to Year 12 with well-rounded and experienced based academic support.
Starting with one student, ATT has now grown to support nearly 200 students around Tasmania, which has lead to Billy winning the Tasmanian Young Achiever of the Year Award in the category of Small Business Achiever.
