Early Learning Centre development close to completion
The Early Learning Centre (ELC) development is close to finalisation with the scheduled completion date being 6 October 2014. The construction commenced in March 2014 and is part of the School Board’s Master Plan for buildings and aligns to the School’s Strategic Plan 2013-2015, specifically to “Develop infrastructure capacity to address increased enrolments”.
The development will reduce the current enrolment wait list of the ELC with the inclusion of two additional classrooms as well as a purpose built Outside School Hours Care area suitable for before school, after school and vacation care.
Planning of the development also includes the playground redevelopment and this project detail is in the final stages of preparation. The purpose built playground works will commence late 2014 with the projected staged completion by Easter 2015.
The ELC building is ‘open for inspection’ on Friday 31 October 2014 from 2.00 pm – 6.00 pm.
An aerial view of the development can be viewed below. We would like to thank Locky Gardner who has provided the multimedia film which is part of his Year 10 Computing assessment.
