Dux of the School and the Ben Chuck ‘Good Man’ Award 2019
At the 2019 Middle and Senior School Speech Night, the Ben Chuck ‘Good Man’ Award and the E M Lilley Memorial Prize for Dux of the School were presented to deserving Year 12 students.
The Ben Chuck ‘Good Man’ Award is a Year 12 award voted on by the Class of 2019. It is named in honour of Ben Chuck, an Old Boy of Hutchins who tragically lost his life in a helicopter crash while serving in Afghanistan. Like Ben, a good man possesses the qualities of integrity, compassion, humility courage and kindness. We congratulate Nicholas Smart (Year 12) on receiving this award in 2019.
The E M Lilley Memorial Prize for Dux of the School was presented to Billy Blackett (Year 12). Billy achieved an ATAR in the top 1% in the State with a score of 99.1.
Congratulations to Nicholas and Billy on your achievements in 2019.
