Double Aggregate win at SATIS
A day trip to Launceston always begins with an early start but this did not detract from the performances of our very strong team. At the end of competition Hutchins athletes walked away with both the SATIS Senior Boys' Trophy and the Boys' Aggregate Trophy. In conditions that were far more conducive to good performances than we had seen at Southern SATIS, we saw some incredible results of the likes of Jesse Usoalii in the Open 100m running 10.69, Russel Taib in the U15 100m running 11.03 and Ben Robinson in the Open 400m running 50.40.
In a team that demonstrated a great sense of support and team camaraderie, many boys produced personal best performances. Winners on the day were: Harvey Chilcott – U13 800 and Relay; Oscar Chau – U13 Relay; Nikola Mellas – U13 Relay; Hugh Jubb – U13 Relay; Owen Law – U14 800 and 1500; Pat Kearney – U14 Javelin; Russel Taib – U15 100, 200, 400 and Relay; Jesse Usoalii – Open 100, 200 and Relay; Edward Burrows-Cheng – Open Triple Jump and Relay; Ben Robinson – Open 400, 800, Long Jump and Relay; Oli Jones – Open Hurdles and Relay.
Congratulations to all boys who travelled to Launceston.
