Council of International Schools visit
This week we welcome the Council of International Schools (CIS) Team who are visiting the School with regards to CIS Accreditation. We officially welcomed our visitors yesterday with a tour of the school followed by a reception held in the Nettlefold Library. Our guests were entertained by the Hutchins Big Band, a Spamalot performance and a musical recital.
The visiting team is headed by the Chair Mark Porter and Co-Chair Martin Kneath who are supported by a team of 11 associates consisting of Board Members, Heads of Schools, Department Directors, leaders and administrators from Australia and overseas. We hope to share with the CIS Team our vision of offering our students a world of opportunities where boys can thrive and in a collaborative approach with parents to build good men of character.
The visiting team will take into consideration the school being vision driven and mission led, focused on internationalism and cultural diversity and student learning. This is encapsulated in the School’s Guiding Statements. Consideration will also be taken into account of the School’s willingness to undertake an external school improvement process which will assist in strategic planning for the future of the school.
The visit will conclude on Friday when recommendations will be made by the CIS Team. We wish the team a productive and enjoyable stay at The Hutchins School.
