Artist-in-Residence
The Hutchins School community warmly welcomes our Artist-in-Residence, Rosemary O’Rourke. She will be working primarily with senior Art students. Rosemary’s project involves making large chalk wall drawings that you will see materialising at various sites around the School.
Rosemary’s drawings are made up of hundreds of small crosses and when finished resemble large pieces of cloth. She will be working directly onto the wall using impermanent materials so the drawings will wear away over time. This is the transitory ephemeral nature of Rosemary’s work.
Please feel free to engage Rosemary in dialogue about her work.
This project has been funded by arts@work and the Australia Council for the Arts.
September 2014 update – Rosemary’s time at the school has been beautifully captured by arts@work.
