This edition celebrates our 175th anniversary by looking back on many community events, the vision for our Signature Building and Make Your Mark campaign, as well as the activities and achievements of our current students, staff and alumni.
On Wednesday 1 December we celebrated our prize winners in Years 11 and 12 as well as our Leavers of 2021 at the Federation Concert Hall at the Year 11 and 12 Speech Night.
We are pleased to announce this year’s winner of the HSOBA Young Alumni Award, Henry West (’11).
On Friday 26 November our Leavers of 2021 culminated their time at Hutchins with a day of celebration starting with Morning Tea in the Nettlefold Library where Mrs Judy Smith shared some memories from teaching the boys during their early years.
Congratulations to William Thorpe (Year 11) who was recently successful in obtaining his Licentiate in Music, Australia, which is an award for outstanding candidates in musical performance.
Our Junior School Athletics Carnival held on Monday 25 October was once again one of the highlights on the sporting calendar. With challenging weather on hand, our boys displayed great character when participating in the trying conditions.

Our Year 7 Character Development Camp has been nominated as the Outdoor Education Tasmanian Program of the Year in 2021.
