2017 ATAR results

Students who received ATAR scores placing them in the top 1% of the state. Harrison Evans, James Tucker, Matthew Burgess, Thomas Young and Angus Szoke. Absent – Thomas Dunbabin and Luke West.

It is with pleasure that we share with you a sample of our outstanding academic achievements of our Year 12 students in 2017. In summary seven boys achieved an ATAR above 99 and 23 boys were listed 37 times for achieving a perfect score in a pre-tertiary subject.

The Ben Chuck ‘Good Man’ Award 2017

The Ben Chuck ‘Good Man’ Award is a Year 12 award voted on by the Class of 2017. It is named in honour of Ben Chuck, an Old Boy of Hutchins who tragically lost his life in a helicopter crash while serving in Afghanistan.

Hutchins SB20 Australian Championships Campaign

Mr Greg Rowlings, Mr Robbie Tuck,  Howard Tapping (Year 8), Jack Allison (Year 8), Finn McLagan (Year 9), Oliver Hugo (Year 7), Charles Zeeman (Year 9) and Dr Rob McEwan. Absent – Benjamin Boman (Year 8).

The Hutchins School Sailing Academy will commence their SB20 Australian Championships campaign tomorrow. This program has been two years in the making and has given our boys the platform to compete at the highest stage.

The Hutchins School Old Boys’ Association (HSOBA) Young Alumni Award was launched in 2016 and celebrates an Old Boy who has left the School no more than 15 years ago, is a good man of character and has excelled in arts, sport, business or community service.
