Learning
Learning at The Hutchins School is about providing opportunities for students to discover their passions. Our learning philosophy is based on the principle that we value and celebrate the individuality of each student. Learning programs are structured to guide the students in the development of their values, knowledge, understanding and skills, and to prepare them for experiences beyond the classroom. At Hutchins we aim to build men who act with integrity, communicate effectively, are compassionate, creative, life-long learners, and global citizens.
The Hutchins School curriculum is informed by the Australian Curriculum and is embedded in the Learning Areas, Cross Curriculum Priorities and General Capabilities as described by the Australian Curriculum Assessment and Reporting Authority. The teaching and learning programs of the School are developed in the context of a set of principles which are drawn directly from and set firmly in the Guiding Statements of our school.
